How the All Star Team point system works...
Specialty awards...125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, 275, 300 games; 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800 series; 75 over game & 140 over series all get face value for points. 11-in-a-row rallies 289 points no matter what the actual score is (270 to 299). This is an arbitrary point value assigned to the score beings the system only allows a single value to any given award.
A bowler qualifies only once for each of these awards per season, no matter how many leagues they bowl or sub in.
All honor scores...300, 800 and 11/row... are entered and tally points towards an individuals point total.
Open division is age 0 to 49... Senior division is 50 and over.
Some more clarification.....
To qualify for the following special achievement awards, the first 7 league sessions (21 games) of any league is based on the prior season's average... after 21 games are attained in a league, the awards are then based on the bowler's average for the league session/night being bowled. Here is the list of special achievement awards that are average based:
* 125 game (100 avg or less)
* 150 game (120 avg or less)
* 175 game (140 avg or less)
* 200 game (165 avg or less)
* 225 game (190 avg or less)
* 250 game (215 avg or less)
* 300 series (90 avg or less)
* 400 series (120 avg or less)
* 500 series (145 avg or less)
* 600 series (175 avg or less)
* 75 pins over average game lapel pin
* 140 pins over average series lapel pin
The following special achievement awards are eligible for all to receive no matter what the bowlers average is:
* 275 game
* 700 series
All of the above awards are only eligible to be received one time per season (8/1 - 7/31) NO MATTER how many leagues/tournaments an individual bowls/subs in.
All honor scores (300 game, 800 series & 11-in-a-row) are entered into the system and tally points as these awards are reflected on the bowler's record that can be viewed via bowl.com.
Points are tallied based on face value for all awards (ie: 125 game gets 125 points, 700 series gets 700 points... and so on) except for the 11-in-a-row award, an arbitrary value of 289 has been applied to that award no matter whether it's a 270 game or a 299 game.
